  On May 15th, as the setting sun cast its final rays, the 13th Sports Meeting of Guangxi City Vocational University came to a successful close. Wu Pengzhi, secretary of the Party Committee of ouruniversity, along with university leaders and faculty members, gathered at the athletics field to award honors to the outstanding teams and individuals who excelled in this year's event.

  In his closing remarks, Secretary Wu Pengzhi emphasized the importance of sports in the new era and praised the athletes for their spirit of perseverance. He called on our teachers and studentsto engage in sports activities with enthusiasm, to cultivate a proper understanding of sports, and to make sports an indispensable part of campus life.

On the athletics field, athletes sprinted down the tracks, their sweat glistening as a testament to their strength and passion. In ball games, students demonstrated excellent teamwork and coordination, showcasing the beauty of cooperation and skill.

  “I won the men's standing long jump with a score of 3.11 meters, breaking ouruniversity's previous record of 3.07 meters. Looking back at the competition, I realized that every jump was a challenge to myself. I am grateful to all the teachers and classmates who cheered for me. I will continue to work hard, constantly push my limits, and strive for glory for ouruniversity and my team!” said Wei Junxi, a student from the Collegeof Intelligent Engineering, majoring in Mechanical Design Manufacturing and Automation, with a beaming smile.

  Pan Zhilei, a student from the Robotics Technology major in the College of Intelligent Engineering, won thefirst place in the men's 5000 meters with a time of 18 minutes and 10.15 seconds. He expressed his excitement, saying, “Achieving great results in the competition is the best validation of my long and arduous training. The preparation process was lengthy and tough, but I persisted with daily training and constantly adjusted my condition. I also paid attention to my diet and rest to ensure I performed at my best on the field.”

  5,000-Meter Champion Pan Zhilei shared his experience of winning the award.

  Huang Yuling from the Collegeof Management, majoring in Modern Logistics Management, also shone brightly in the women's 1500 meters, finishing first with a time of 6 minutes and 37.52 seconds. She remarked, “Winning first place in the competition made me feel extremely excited and happy. I also want to thank my friends for providing me with professional training guidance, which was invaluable to me.”

  The successful conclusion of ouruniversity's 13th Sports Meetingnot only affirms the students' athletic skills and teamwork but also celebrates their spirit of pursuing excellence and showcasing their talents.
